‘I want you.’ He said quietly.

‘What?’ She replied. She thought she’d miss heard him.

‘I want you.’ He repeated.

‘I can’t do this.’ Emily looked away as Liam reached out to her, ‘This is wrong.’

‘But I want this to happen…’ Liam replied climbing the stairs to stand in front of her, bringing his fingers to her chin and turning her face, making her look at him. She saw the face that had caused her so much pain, so much anger and yet, it was a face she longed to keep looking at. She felt drawn to him all over again. She knew she shouldn’t be - it had taken her long enough to get over him-why should she step back in time, but she couldn’t help how she felt even now.

‘Liam, I-’ Emily couldn’t say any more as her mouth had been plugged by Liam’s. She could feel him pressing against her. He was massively turned on. The kiss was powerful, forceful even and Emily hadn’t felt anything like it for some time.

They broke free when they heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Emily turned and rushed up the stairs before the person coming saw anything. Closing the door of her hotel room, Emily leaned against it. Her heart was pounding. What the fuck had she just done? She was 34 years old and she was nearly caught ‘snogging’ her ex-boyfriend from her teenage years, not to mention the fact that he was married and now her niece’s father-in-law. She felt ashamed but at the same time there was feelings of excitement and lust building too. Liam had wanted her again even after all these years.

Emily jumped when she heard a knocking on her door. Fearing it was Liam, she nervously shouted, ‘Who is it?’

‘It’s me,’ came the voice.
